conspire with us, but we don’t want “members”
We’re always seeking co-conspirators to join us in the necessary project of living God’s love for all people. Co-conspirators are like “members” of traditional churches, except we’re not a country club and nobody joins for life. Co-conspirators agree to prioritize the church’s mission for one year, then we all reconsider — is this the call of God for my life for another year? And another?
You can read more about co-conspiracy here, and talk to our Lead Evangelist (Katie) or any of our Missional Logistics Team or Spiritual Care Team members about what it would mean for you. These are the words we use in worship to join the co-conspiracy.
Please know how happy we would be to welcome you into the kingdom conspiracy that “God’s love is real, God’s love is for you (and everybody else), and God’s love is worth it.”
The co-conspiracy is open to distant worshippers! We’re still figuring out what it means. Help us learn as we go.
an invitation to baptism
Baptism is how you say “yes” to every beautiful thing God is doing now, and “yes” to God’s gorgeous future. Galileo Church practices baptism by immersion (all the way under!) for believers (people old enough to make up their own mind). This is how we are buried and raised with Jesus, and how we invite God’s Spirit into our lives. We’ve got a 300-gallon cattle trough and a propane heater that make our baptisms unforgettable.
We also believe that if you were baptized some other way (sprinkling? dabbing? dipping?), whenever it happened (when you were a baby? a toddler? a total reprobate?), God can do God’s thing through that. If you’ve never been baptized, talk to Katie and figure out if you’re ready for God to do great things in you.
You’ve got gifts to share.
We’re happy to receive them.
You’ve got money. Yeah, we said it. It takes some cash to make this work, and we’re grateful for every nickel that comes our way. Take a look at our 2024 ministry finance plan, and let us know what you think about it. (Here's the one for 2023, for comparison's sake.) All the categories are things Jesus did in his ministry, so we figure we should be doing them, too.
Here’s our letter of thanks to all our 2022 givers!
You can give when you come to worship.
You can share via Paypal with that yellow button below.
We also enjoy contributions through Zelle, to this number: (682) 760-1274.
We’d also love to be your friend on Venmo!
Best of all: you can set up a regular schedule of consistent generosity by using your bank’s automatic bill-paying thingamajig. Most banks will mail a contribution directly to Galileo at 6563 Teague Road, Fort Worth TX, 76140, if you ask nicely and have money in your account. Many thanks for considering.
You’ve got time. And who couldn’t use more of that? Share some hours with us, doing chores that will make our life together better. Hold a baby during worship, run an errand for Sunday worship, post some fliers, serve some ice cream…the list is long and always changing. You don’t have to invent the task; you just have to let us know you’re available. Muchas gracias. (Pssst…we’re also learning how to receive the gifts of people worshipping from a distance. Ask us how!)
You’ve got your own personal awesomeness. You’ve got talents we don’t even know we need yet! Accordion-playing? Bookkeeping? Wallpapering? Getting rid of wallpaper? Who knows, except you? Let us know, and we’ll figure out what to do with you. Thanks a million.
Muchas Gracias. This won’t be the last time you hear it from us. We’re grateful for every minute, every dollar, every gift, every day. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
